Love, Peace, Hope & Joy — stitched in English and Hebrew.
This DIY Judaica embroidery project includes four simple, buy beautiful, designs featuring the words Ahava / Love, Shalom / Peace, Tikvah / Hope, and Simcha / Joy. Each design includes both the Hebrew and English words, with a sweet little floral accent for just the right amount of stitchy zhuzh.
These designs are intended primarily for cross-stitch, but you can absolutely use other embroidery stitches if that’s more your style. Each stick-and-stitch, water-soluble pattern measures approximately 1" × 5.5". Stitch directly over the printed template, then rinse it away when you’re finished — leaving only your lovely hand stitching behind.
Once complete, these napkins are perfect for Shabbat dinners, Jewish holidays, hostess gifts, and family celebrations. Bubbe would approve.
Easy to stitch, meaningful to gift, and just fancy enough to make dinner feel extra special. Just add good food, family, and a few lively debates.

Skill level
Beginner-friendly
This project is designed primarily for cross-stitch and uses simple, repeatable stitches. It’s a lovely option for newer stitchers, gift-makers, or anyone who wants a meaningful project without needing an embroidery degree first.
Care instructions
Your stick-and-stitch templates are water-soluble, which means they are designed to disappear when washed. Until then, please handle them carefully.
Keep the templates dry and handle them only with clean, dry hands. Moisture may cause the printed lines to smudge, fade, or wear away before you are finished stitching.
For long-term care, gentle washing and air drying are recommended. To protect your hand embroidery, wash gently and avoid rough scrubbing or harsh detergents.

Nu, the details?
🧵 What are the different types of kits that are available?
- In general, I offer three types of physical kits, depending on how many supplies you already have at home and how much of the full stitchy experience you want included:
- Project Kit:
Best for stitchers who already have a healthy little stash at home — floss, hoops, needles, scissors, and the usual suspects. Project Kits include the special materials needed for that design, such as printed patterns, water-soluble stick-and-stitch transfers, napkins, acrylic cases, or other project-specific pieces. These kits are great when you want the project, but do not need the full supply bundle. - Complete Kit:
Best for beginners, gift-givers, or anyone who wants the convenience of opening the package and getting started. Complete Kits include everything you need to begin stitching, including the printed pattern, instructions, DMC floss, and needle. Depending on the project, some Complete Kits may also include extra helpful supplies like fabric, a hoop, a needle threader, or other stitchy goodies. - Keepsake Kit:
My most premium kit option. Keepsake Kits are designed for special occasions, meaningful gifts, and heirloom-style projects. These are often made in small quantities, thoughtfully packaged, and may include personalization or extra finishing touches. The goal is for the experience to feel special for both the stitcher and the lucky recipient — because a handmade Jewish keepsake deserves a little fanfare. - All available kits are physical products and will be shipped directly to you within the timeframe listed on the product page. Please review the listing photos and description carefully, as each kit may include different materials depending on the design, Chag, or theme.
- Please feel free to reach out to me for kit customizations. I'm happy to help where possible.
🧵 What if I don't need any more supplies?
- No problem — your craft stash is safe from judgment over here!
- If you already have fabric, floss, needles, hoops, and everything else you need, you can purchase the digital pattern only whenever that option is available.
- Digital patterns include: A PDF pattern, digital instructions, a supply list, instant download access after purchase.
- This is the best option for stitchers who already have supplies at home and simply want the design.
- If you see a design you love but want a printed paper copy instead of a digital pattern, feel free to reach out. I’m happy to help where possible.
🧵 Can I sell the items I make from your patterns?
- Yes. Finished pieces that you have hand-stitched from the exact pattern you have purchased from me may be sold in small quantities. If you’re planning a larger production run, please reach out first.
- However, Shalom Needlecraft patterns and designs are copyright protected and may not be redistributed, reproduced, altered, or shared in any manner.
